About Carrie Ann
Carrie is fast gaining a credible reputation for her creative flair, attention to detail and sound dressmaking skills.
Her growing portfolio of bridal and client work shows her skills can be adapted from the most minimal of styles to the more elaborate.
Carrie takes pride in working together with her clients to ensure every aspect is covered, all to achieve that dream dress. This of course all starts with a measuring session followed by a toile fitting.
Carrie's humble beginnings for her passion for art and design led her to pursue her training at the University of Wolverhampton. Having gained a BA (Hons.) degree in 2002 Carrie used this foundation as a step towards the bridal industry. Starting with voluntary work at local bridal and fashion boutiques led to permanent positions. Gaining a valuable 6 years experience, training and insight in both retail and the manufacturing sectors.
In 2007 Carrie set-up a studio space from home and worked part-time with made-to-measure commissions. In 2009 Carrie Ann Designs was formed allowing the business to expand to a wider audience.
Carrie has been overwhelmed by the positive feedback she has received and was delighted to be commissioned to make Beth Martinez's wedding gown, now wife of former Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez and now premiership manager of Wigan. They keep in touch and further commissions are anticipated.
